What independence looks like

  • Your rates

Set your own hourly rate, from $42. Charge more for weekends, nights and specialist support.

  • Your hours

Work full time, a few hours a week, or around study and family. Nothing is rostered for you.

  • Your clients

Message and meet people before you agree to work together. Say no to work that is not right for you.

  • Your area

Choose how far you travel, and agree travel terms in writing.

Getting started

  1. 1

    Create a profile

Tell people who you are, what you offer and when you are available. A good photo and a warm bio go a long way.

  2. 2

    Get verified

Upload your checks and qualifications. We verify them before your profile goes live.

  3. 3

    Agree and get going

Reply to enquiries, agree the details in writing, and book your first sessions.

The admin is done for you

Agreements, bookings, session notes and invoices live in one place. Approve a session and the invoice is created and sent to the right payer, and you can see exactly when you will be paid.

  • Agreements you can reuse
  • Invoices created from approved hours
  • Notes and incident reports kept where they belong

Common questions

Am I an employee of Ablepoint?

No. You work for yourself as an independent contractor with your own ABN. You set your rates, choose your clients and look after your own tax and superannuation.

Do I need qualifications?

It depends on the support. Social and domestic support needs the required checks and training; personal care, nursing and allied health need qualifications or registration, which we verify.

How quickly can I start?

Once your checks and documents are verified, your profile goes live. Most of the wait is the NDIS Worker Screening Check, so apply for it early.
